Sansevieria Zeylanica 100 cm
Sansevieria zeylanica is a tough, hardy snake plant. The long sword-like leaves are dark green with wavy lighter green bands. They have rather a rugged, shabby-chic appearance often with rough, brown edges. Some minor leaf cracking is also common.
Sansevieria zeylanica are not as common as Sansevieria trifasciata, but they are just as bullet-proof and just as stunning. Easy care, shade loving, hard to kill, air-purifying... these beautiful plants have it all.
Please note: some scarring may occur on the leaves and it’s natural for that mature snake plant . Scars are just a sign that a plant is a living thing. All living things have marks, much the same as humans, plants acquire scars by living.
Light: Best in moderate to bright, indirect light but will adapt to low light conditions too.
Water : Allow the soil to dry out before watering, then water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Do not allow the plant to sit in water as this will cause root rot.
Temperature: Happy anywhere from 15-23°C and as low as 10°C for short periods.
Feed: Apply a weak dose of cactus or general-purpose feed once a month at most during the growing season. Sansevieria are low maintenance plants and do not require a lot of supplementary feeding.
Air Purifying: Sansevieria filter airborne toxins and are part of our clean air plants
Toxicity : Mildly toxic if eaten. Keep away from children and animals.
Origin: Tropical West African Region.
