Microsorum musifolium comes from tropical Southeast Asia and grows there mainly as an epiphyte on trees. Its extremely attractive fronds make it a real eye-catcher, especially when it has grown to an imposing size. The fronds are somewhat leathery and have an attractive pattern that is reminiscent of the scaly skin of reptiles, which is why it is also called Crocodile Fern.
