Monadenium Guentheri Baby Sausage Spurge Euphorbia Guentheri 20cm
Monadenium Guentheri is a stout perennial succulent herb with long, cylindrical stems that carry prominent spine-tipped patterned tubercles and fleshy sickle-shaped deciduous leaves. Commonly called “Sausage Spurge”, the mature plant resembles a tangle of snakes, and makes a great ‘Medusa Head’ when grown as a houseplant in the right container.
This succulent type is a unique one that blooms in the spring. when it blooms, you will enjoy red flowers. It is a nice addition to your collection of plants especially if you have it displayed in a beautiful pot!
Watering: Very drought tolerant, but can take more water when actively growing.You can allow the soil to dry out between each watering. Before watering the plant check underneath the pot through the drainage holes to see if the roots are dry. If so then add some water. Do not water too often to prevent over watering, that can potentially kill it off.
Humidity: Dry conditions would be sufficient.
Light: It prefers full to partial sunlight. Provides good sunlight at least 3-5 hours of the day, and turn it regularly so that your plant doesn’t begin to grow lopsided.
Temperature: It prefers an optimal temperatures of 60 degrees Fahrenheit – 85 degrees Fahrenheit / 16 degrees Celsius to 29 degrees Celsius.
Origin: Euphorbia Guentheri is native to Kenya.
Toxicty: Toxic to both humans and pets due to its poisonous and irritant sap. Please keep away from pets and children.
