Agave Shaka Zulu is a beautiful specimen plant. Named after the most famous Zulu clan chief, Shaka, who reigned the Zulu tribes in the early 1900s, with a fierce reputation for military strategy and warfare.

Agave plants are succulents that belong to the Agavoideae family. They are native to the arid regions of the Americas, particularly Mexico and the southwestern United States.

The dense geometric blue-green rosette of fleshy leaves are edged in red and finish in a fine point reminiscent of Zulu spears.

The sharp spines or teeth along the edges of Agave leaves symbolize protection and defense. They serve as a natural deterrent against herbivores, reinforcing the idea of self-preservation and protection.

With their architectural beauty and ability to thrive in indoor environments, Agave plants can be stunning additions to your home. Just remember to provide them with adequate light, well-draining soil, and minimal water, and they will reward you with their unique presence.

Height & Growth Rate: Shaka Zulu is a slow growing plant with an ultimate height and spread of around 40cm.

Origin: The Shaka Zulu is a cultivar, however the Agave genus originates from the Americas.
