Opuntia microdasys albata, also known as the White Bunny Ear Cactus or Angel's Wings, is a popular species of cactus belonging to the Opuntia genus. It is a cultivar of Opuntia microdasys, which is native to Mexico.

This cactus has distinctive flattened pads that resemble bunny ears, hence the common name "Bunny Ear Cactus." The pads are generally oval-shaped and covered with clusters of tiny glochids, which are small hair-like structures that serve as spines. Opuntia microdasys albata has white or yellow glochids, giving it a unique and attractive appearance.

Light: thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Place it near a sunny window or in a spot with filtered sunlight. Avoid exposing it to intense, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as it can lead to sunburn.

Watering: Water the cactus sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's important to maintain a well-draining soil mix and avoid excessive moisture.

Humidity: Prefers low humidity conditions.

Toxicity: Non toxic to human and animals - but it may iritate the skin with its spikes.

Origin: The exact origin of the cultivar is not clear, as it is a cultivated variety that has been selectively bred for its unique white or yellow glochids. Opuntia microdasys itself is native to central Mexico, including regions like Hidalgo, Querétaro, Puebla, and Oaxaca. It is also commonly found in parts of the southwestern United States
