Agave lophant Quadricolor is a WOW plant this genus of succulent, mostly native to the hot and dry regions of Mexico southern states of North America, now naturalised to the Mediterranean area. The leaves are arranged in a rosette. They are fleshy with a thorn at the tip and often sharply toothed at the edges.

After many years it produces inflorescences of pale yellow, bell-shaped flowers at the end of extremely long stalks. Agave Lophantha Quadricolor – solitary or slowly clumping succulent rosette, up to 40 cm tall, 60 cm in diameter. It is monocarpic plant, meaning it dies after flowering, but it’s called the century plant, as it is said to only bloom every 100 years. While it might bloom more often, it is not likely to flower when grown as a houseplant.

Leaves are characteristically variegated with four distinct colours. Agave Lophantha quadricolour is a striking Agave with leaves that are yellow on the outside with dark green stripes and an apple green middle. One of the most beautiful Agaves if you like variegation!
