Microsorum Crocodyllus Crocodile Fern 40 cm
Microsorum musifolium comes from tropical Southeast Asia and grows there mainly as an epiphyte on trees. Its extremely attractive fronds make it a real eye-catcher, especially when it has grown to an imposing size. The fronds are somewhat leathery and have an attractive pattern that is reminiscent of the scaly skin of reptiles, which is why it is also called Crocodile Fern.
Watering: Keeping the soil consistently moist is key; allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry, and then water thoroughly.
Humidity: This is a humidity-loving plant, so placing by a humidifier or frequent misting (3-4x weekly), is ideal.
Light: Extremely tolerant of low light.
Temperature: Ideally kept between 18-24°C.
Origin: Native to Southeast Asia
Toxicity: Non-toxic to humans and animals.
