Scindapsus Pictus Trebie Exotica, commonly known as Satin Pothos or Silver Pothos, is a popular houseplant known for its attractive foliage.

Satin Pothos features heart-shaped leaves with a satin-like texture, hence the name "Satin Pothos." The leaves have a dark green color adorned with silver variegation, which creates a striking contrast.

The vines of the plant can grow quite long, making it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or trailing over shelves.

Light: Satin Pothos thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some shade but avoid placing it in direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. A location near a window with filtered light or a few feet away from a bright window is ideal.

Water: This plant prefers moderately moist soil. Allow the top inch or so of the soil to dry out before watering again. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to provide proper drainage and avoid leaving the plant sitting in water.

Humidity: Satin Pothos appreciates higher humidity levels, but it can adapt to average household humidity. If the air in your home is particularly dry, you can increase humidity by misting the leaves with water or placing the plant on a tray filled with water and pebbles.

Temperature: This plant thrives in typical room temperatures ranging from 65°F to 85°F (18°C to 29°C). It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures, but avoid exposing it to cold drafts or temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

Toxicity: Satin Pothos is toxic to pets and humans if ingested. The plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause mouth and digestive irritation. Keep it out of reach of children and pets or consider choosing a non-toxic alternative if you have concerns.

Origin: The Satin Pothos is native to Southeast Asia, particularly in regions like Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. It is commonly found growing in the understory of tropical forests, where it thrives in the filtered light conditions and high humidity.
