Scindapsus Pictus Silvery Ann Silver Spotted its also sometimes called Satin Pothos – this trailing plant is easy, low maintenance and will trail nicely once growing. Satin pothos have gorgeous delicate heart shaped leaves which can be trained to climb or trail. Their leaf pattern is so unique with silvery splotches that will shimmer in the sunshine. A super versatile plant that would be great as a gift or for a beginner as they are very easy going.

This silver spotted Scindapsus type originates from the jungles of South-East Asia, Indonesia and the Salomon Islands. The Greek name for the Araceae family is Epipremnum. An appropriate name, as ‘epi’ means ‘on’ and ‘premnon’ means ‘branch’: the plant grows on the tree branches in the tropical rainforests. In its natural habitat, it is a rich source of food for lizards and other reptiles, here it is an air-filtrating plant that also produces oxygen and is not fit for consumption.

The Scindapsus Silvery Ann is a strong plant, making it extremely suitable to be used in a green plant wall as creeper. This Scindapsus type has an additional quality that is beneficial to its surroundings: its air filtering qualities. The plant produces oxygen, improves air humidity, neutralises harmful gases and in doing so cleanses the air. Harmful gases that are present in any space, are therefore removed and this makes him such a much-loved plant.

Temperature: They are extremely tolerant and can live in warm or colder temperatures.
