Ctenanthe Burle Marxii Amagris - Mint 25 cm
Ctenanthe Amabilis in nursery pot Ø-11cm x h-10cm (Please note that decorative pot is not included, plant is in nursery plastic pot)
A stunning-looking member of the prayer plant family, this one has a pretty long name: Ctenanthe burle marxii Amagris, slow growing with pale grey-green, oval leaves and dramatic dark green curving stripes. The leaves are wonderfully offset by a deep purple stem and leaf underside.
Light: Bright, indirect light. Will tolerate some degree of shade; however insufficient light may cause loss of variegation in the leaves. Too much light on the other hand will cause the leaves to fade.
Water: Keep soil moist at all times. Allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before watering.
Temperature: Normal room temperatures from 16-24°C but can cope with as low as 13°C.
Humidity: High humidity levels are an advantage. Stand on a wet pebble tray to improve humidity and mist frequently.
Feeds: Apply a weak dose of a liquid fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season.
Care tips: Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to remove accumulated dust. Do not use leaf shine as this will damage the foliage.
Toxicity: Considered slightly poisonous. Keep away from children and animals and take care when handling.
Origin: Tropical Brazil.
